"Dengan menyebut nama Allah Yang Maha Pemurah lagi Maha Penyayang"
Actually I wrote this entry last night or early morning just now but I don't know what happen they don't save it. It's okay no harm in writing all over again. Just another entry to share my experience while working from 11pm till 8am. When everybody is sleeping in their comfort bed remember someone out there is working everyday. Either doctor, nurses, MA, pharmacist even cleaner works for 24 hours (but that A&E toilet still kotor I don't know why).
Yesterday the only word to describe is horrible. OPD was suddenly attacked by hundreds of people don't know from where. Suddenly the basket looks like Menara KL. I don't take my lunch because I'm too scared for my insulin assessment and yet I still didn't performed well during that counselling session. Have to attend CME at 2pm. Back to OPD and work until 6pm from 7.30am that morning. Supposedly I can go back at 4.30pm but due to the latest rule or regulation, we the new PRPs MUST come as early as 7.30am and stay back until 6pm everyday at OPD. So, I'm so lazy to argue and use my night call as an excuse to go back early, I work until 6pm. Reached home by 7pm. Didn't sleep at all and at 9.30pm start my car engine and off to hospital again (p/s you should know the distance between my house and hospital is about 50km/way and it took me at least 30 minutes to reach my destination). Arrived at hospital 30 minutes before 11pm, keep my belongings and familiarize myself with that room again.
Night call with Mr. Andrew is absolutely best and cool. He'll sit in front of the counter. Shared with me his experience in KK Palong. Told me stories about methadone clinic. Told me that some of Pegawai Farmasi in HTJ will come for night call and just sleep until 6am in the morning. He even went to IPD to take Bactrim injection and later found it in A&E. At 3am I decided I don't want to sleep because I'm not sleepy yet but he insisted me to take a rest at least to avoid mistakes during dispensing though you only dispense PCM, gelusil, ponstan and prolase commonly but it'll make a different if you asked patient to chew PCM instead of gelusil :D
Honestly, I don't understand how people can come to hospital very very late at night or very very early in the morning just for a strip of PCM? Unless it's a life threatening situation then I understand. Sometimes I wish I can give patient more medication especially when they asked "Panadol je?" but what to do only PCM stated in the prescription. And the ward indents, why must come two three times in a night? It's not even stat. You orang memang suka turun Farmasi A&E kan nak kacau kita orang berehat kan?
Within 24 hours I only sleep for an hour. I had two cups of coffee. But, please prepare yourself with sweets or another cup of coffee if you're driving back that morning. It's extremely dangerous to drive when you're sleepy. Now I'm sleepy again after had my lunch with mak and adik and sleep for 3 hours. Better off to sleep now lah. Eh, later we're going to Port Dickson to have ikan bakar for dinner. Yummy!
Take care people. Semoga Allah sentiasa melindungi kamu semua InsyAllah.
Assalamualaikum.
